David Charters

David Charters started his career in the UK Foreign Office before entering investment banking and venture capital.

David has worked on equity fundraisings in over fifty countries and most sectors. David sits on a number of corporate boards mainly in the fields of finance and technology.

David serves as a trustee of the John Smith Trust, which runs young leaders’ programmes for countries in the former Soviet Union, and the military charity the Churchill Lines Foundation.

David co-founded the Beacon Prize for Philanthropy and is a published author with six novels and two collections of short stories.
