Robert Hunt MA
Robert studied law at Oxford and is a qualified solicitor and Pension Trustee. He started his career by qualifying as a solicitor in the City of London and worked in private practice for 20 years specialising in corporate and commercial law.
For the past 20 years of his career he worked with the Veolia Group (an international company quoted on the Paris Bourse and which specialises in Energy, Water, Waste and Sustainable solutions). He has a broad experience and sat on the Main UK Board and for 3 years worked in the Head Office in Paris as International General Counsel and Head of Project Development. He has worked on a number of key infrastructure projects in the US, India, Australia and Europe as well as working on a number of UK PFI contracts. As a pension trustee he has chaired the Veolia Pension schemes for the last 4 years and has also served as an Independent Pension Trustee. He holds the Financial Times Non-Executive Director diploma. He has been involved in a number of key corporate governance projects.
He served on the London Council of the CBI and is a non-executive director of Policy Connect the leading Parliamentary Think Tank. He has given evidence to a number of Parliamentary Select Committees.
He brings to the Board a number of key skills including business development, good regulation corporate governance and his disciplined legal training. He is a keen tennis and squash player and visits the gym regularly and has many other interests including classical music, literature, art and travel. He divides his time between his flat in London and his home in the Cotswolds
